Southend drinking

Surrey Shrimper

Guest
Has anyone else seen the diabolical (but fairly accurate) article in the back of this months FHM about a Saturday night out on Southend.

It appears the journalist is absolutely cacking it. His whole article is based on the fear that he's going to take a kicking. I didn't appreciate the danger that we all faced on a night of drinking manoeuvres in our beloved town!!!!!!!!!!

I was with the FHM bloke all the way, Southend is getting really scummy now.

Everywhere has it's nutcases but Southend seems to have more then most. I felt a lot safer in Cardiff!

Hopefully once the university gets going and this casino thing happens (and Fossetts Farm of course) Southend will get the boot up the bum it needs.

dear oh dear Kenny, you must have been one very drunk dude

When I was in the clubs and pubs of Cardiff I generally kept myself to myself and didn't stand around singing "STEVIE TILSONS BARMY ARMY" so as a result I didn't run into any problems that some people did

Seriously, Southend centre is scumsville, I have worked around the town centre for 9 years now and am in the high street every lunchtime and it is just getting pikier and pikier by the week, the amount of bums and skagheads wandering the mean streets of Southend is way up on what it was back in 95 and don't even get me started on the Kosovans....

Spot on Kenny. The place has gone down the pan rapidly and i cant see them turning it around. The seafront is a sh*t hole, the highstreet has nothing great about it. It is full of tramps, Kosovans and seems to be more and more skagheads walking about.
