Southend Manor FC

went to watch Basildon United at Sudbury last game of the season, lovely ground and nice bar area, would be nice to meet up next season and have a drink and watch the game when Basildon come to town
Hopefully the Sudbury/Basildon home fixture will come out in October to upward as I be moving around that months.

Chelmsford City for me, short walk to the ground, boy plays for the under 11s and is regularly ball boy.

Manor always struck me as a nice club, wish them all the best.

I might well join you as I could nip home at half time. I have already removed soap and any toilet rolls and started p****** all over the floor. It takes months to get the true ingrained SUFC toilet aroma.

That aside it sounds like a good idea from Manor.

Don’t forget to erect “sorry wrong word” the chlamydia posters in their bogs once you’ve recreated the smell.

When my house purchase eventually goes through in the next few years, my new local non-league team will be Chatham United and the ground will be a 10 minute walk away. They play in Southern Counties East Prem, which I think is the same level as the Essex Senior. So might take myself along to see a game or two there.

If Manor start doing stuff then I may go to watch them too!
Chatham Town.. and very good they are too. Lovely stadium - really impressive for that level and I dont think it will be long before they are at NLS.

I used to watch Manor quite regularly in the early nineties....but my interest waned when I realised that they couldn't get promoted even if they won the league! Still got a pile of the programmes from matches against the likes of stambridge and Eton Manor.

Should ‘United’ adopt ‘manor’ as an affiliate club to put some youths, recuperating, loaners or out of form players into.. we look for the grass roots gems.. channel them through there, it becomes a c team with a potential progression route and ‘academy’ in one.

Chelmsford City are my 2nd team but I also have occasional trips to Concorde Rangers and Great Wakering Rovers. Only non league football for me these days.
