Homebase Rayleigh weir is closing today at 6 pm, all garden plants are half price and they are beautiful as they don’t know when they are going to open.

ASDA Shoebury, were meant to put up perspex screens around their till workers, chemist and customer services for yesterday, but it didn't happen. Maybe later then. They did have lots of one way arrows tho down each isle (not observed by a few). There was also two security at the entrance, doing a one in, one out policy. The queue to get in reached the Parsons Barn when I was there at dinnertime, so best to avoid that time.

Thanks for the info guys, flew over Benfleet and I'm not particularly into aircraft but was quite impressed.

Silly question but having watched the video does anyone know why it touched down and went straight back up again ?

It’s called a touch and go, it’s part of the training. I’m not sure if the C17 could take off again at Southend. It maybe able too but this is their way of getting around it.

Some ______ has stolen the PPE from inside North Shoebury Surgery (Dr Moss). He was a patient with an appointment. They know who it is, but by the time the police deal with it, the PPE might be gone. They need it to do appointments and keep the surgery open....Scumbag.

A 20 year old woman from Westcliff bought a cheap iphone through Shpock. She stupidly travelled to Hatfield Herts. She phoned up the woman seller to say she was outside the block of flats. A man came out dressed in all black and snatched the envelope with the £280 in. It was obviously a set up. Police are investigating. But yes, why is she doing non essential travel during a lockdown.

A druggie was driving about and came to a stop check in Southend. He abandoned his car and was caught nearby. He was arrested for drug driving, and warned that collecting drugs is not essential.

Once again this weekend, people are being told not to visit Southend Seafront. We shall see what happens.

Sadly, Debenhams is to close. It was in trouble, and the Coronavirus has seen it off.

Just read on line of road closures in leigh (Belton way), old leigh and the entire seafront plus a few surrounding roads !

Had to deliver some essential supplies didn't see by closures. However it looks like all seafront parking has been stopped with temporary restrictions in place. Maybe it was the new parking restrictions people are talking about?

Emergency Traffic Regulation Order in place, comes into effect from today for 21 days.

Pay and display bays in Belton Way, Belton Way Bridge, Belton North and Belton South car parks, Belton Bridge, Old Leigh High Street car parks and bays, Chalkwell Esplanade, The Leas, Western Esplanade, Marine Parade, Eastern Esplanade, Thorpe Esplanade are all suspended and there will be no parking, waiting, loading, unloading or stopping permitted in any of the bays.

Western Esplanade from Shorefield Road to Pier Hill and Marine Parade from Pier Hill to Southchurch Avenue/Kursaal will also be closed to traffic when signage is in place.

Basically, DON'T VISIT SOUTHEND and if you do there's nothing open and nowhere to park or stop.
