I was browsing through some old programmes and came across an article which said 50 odd stewards had past their stewarding test. I wasn't aware one existed but if so, I reckon it must be a bit like a driving test whereby part is muti choice questions the other is hands on experience with a couple of manoeuvres that have to be completed like making a Weststander sit when he doesn't want to or how to handle a (female) streaker etc.

Any suggestions please as to what these questions and/or manoeuvres should be?

Nothing serious please.

Intimidating tourists who despite not being Southend fans are football crazy and want a photographic record of their trip to Roots Hall and being able to come up with a creative way of threatening to shove their camera up one of their bodily orifices!

The ability of making yourself extra large, standing at the top of the stairs in the East Stand, in everyones way, preventing people from getting to their seats in time for kick-off. :guns:
