Official Match Thread Southend United 0-6 Spurs XI

To be fair that Spurs line up would beat half the teams in the EPL so to be 5-0 up at half time against pretty much our reserve side is no more than you’d expect. To only lose the second half 1-0 with a side much closer to our starting line up is very respectable.

Im sure a few SUFC supporters would have enjoyed watching Lamela and co play, not often you get the chance to see to liners play at Roots Hall, and the money the Spurs fans would have layed out to watch would be helpful to the club. Now i wonder what loanees we will get from Spurs ,hopefully a couple of very good ones .Sounds also like the pitch itself was in very good shape reading how Lmela was scoring from low crosses ,couldnt have done that last season .

If i'm not mistaken that will be the pitches at Spurs training ground not Roots Hall!
