Post-Match Thread and Ratings Southend United 1 - 0 Yeovil Town

Back to back wins with probably not the best of performances we've had, but good we are starting to grind out results, and another clean sheet is great

Really sounded poor today. (Anything to do with off the pitch issues???) Anyway, a team who can play poorly and still came away with the three points, is good, isn't it??? Chesterfield lost but Wrexham come back from behind to win again.

Sounded like a good first half performance rewarded by a great goal, but a lacklustre second half with too much time wasting - sorry - game management by us for my liking when we should have scored one or two more goals against ten men. But a good result for us and that's what counts.

It's not much of a defence, unlike ours, lol, but there is another game, Tuesday, and maybe legs won't be quite as tired?
Mooney got a good round of applause when he came off, but Paul Clark says he's wasting his talents overplaying.
How did those there see it?

Good win for us, to keep the run going, we scrapped a win and kept a clean sheet too and even better, Col ewes lost again, against another relegation strugglers. They not yet play against the top 8 side, they got Matt Broomfield in as a manager, that them finished.

Three points is great but the performance left alot to be desired. Why we cant get it into the box early baffles me. We did it once or twice, Hyde scored then we never stopped over passing it out on the wings. It seems we always want to walk the ball into the net and i don't really remember their keeper having much to do at all. We are still struggling to score goals.

Hopefully a better performance on Tuesday and another 3 points.

Paul Clark is spot on IMO, it's entertaining watching Mooney but he didn't really have much impact in the final third today and seemed more interested in showboating. Disappointing performance overall.
