Echo News Southend United boss Kevin Maher on Ollie Kensdale's injury

SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher is unsure when defender Ollie Kensdale will be back in action.

Kensdale missed Tuesday’s 2-1 win against Altrincham after suffering a slight fracture under his eye socket during Saturday’s victory over Aldershot Town.

And Maher could be without the centre-back for the next fortnight.

“We’ll know more after he sees the specialist today,” said Maher.

“It might take a couple of weeks but we’ll have to see how it settles down.

“We could get a mask or something but it might take time.

“He’s a loss but Adam Crowther stepped into that position and JD has filled in again in another different position and was unbelievable.
