Echo News Southend United boss Kevin Maher pleased with Ollie Kensdale's full debut

Nice confidence boosting comment from the Kev, If it had of been Brown the tyres of a Route-master would probably be squealing for 1 or 2 of our team

He looked good and held his own. A decent signing. Now we need to get at least one winger who can deliver, look at Weston for them Saturday them players can unpick the lock

There was one moment for Kensdale that stood out for me: we had possession just inside the Dagenham half and he saw space ahead and charged down the left wing. That is exactly what we were missing when we played that dire 0-0 stalemate at Wealdstone under Brown. If we’re going to be playing on the front foot that is what we’re going to need.

Couldn't agree more. Hopefully a dynamic midfielder that can travel with the ball at pace, and has a bit of vision about him. We are getting there, slowly but surely.
