Echo News Southend United boss Mark Molesley: 'It's a knock back but we can still absolutely stay up'

Yawn.....****ing yawn mark
Of course you can't really say anything else ,,but we were a total shambles
And to be fair to the boss ..a shambles long before he arrived .
Let's be clear Ron Martin this is addressed to you ..you have strangled the club I and all of us love , you are a charlatan only interested in adding to your bank balance as you watch on Ron..our beloved club seems finished .you can shove your new stadium that you will own !!!! Up your arse

It's all been said really, but just a couple of observations about the sheer incompetence of the management team in every aspect of their functions. One, the recruitment of proven failures which the minimum of due diligence would rule out. For example, Cordner was a disaster at Scunthorpe and one of many reasons they were in trouble earlier in the season. Why on earth did Molesley think he was up to the job. As we saw yesterday his positional sense, anticipation and movement are just not up to standard. Two, the bizarre substitutions which rarely change the game for the better. Just because you can make 5 changes does not mean you have to and the ludicrous decision to play Holmes up top and keep lumplng high balls up to him made no sense whatsoever. These people have shown over the season they are utterly out of their depth. No other chairman in the entire EFL would sit back and do nothing while his club slides inexorably into oblivion.

Molesley has proven so many times what a clown he is with his formations and team selection that I find it hard to believe that anyone would want him to still be here Monday morning. If Ron had unlimited funds then he would back where he belongs, manager of a team in the Dorset Youth Football League!
