Southend United Ladies

Will the ladies be playing over Christmas, if so could you let me know where and when, as go to a couple of non Southend games over Christmas but if ladies playing would like to come and cheer them on
Next few matches are:
Sunday 11 December, away to Beacon Hill Rovers - 2pm
Sunday 18 December, home to Leigh Ramblers - Essex Womens Trophy 2nd Rd. - down as 1:30 KO but could be 2pm. Or could be changed or postponed as the World Cup Final is a 3pm KO.
after that it is Sunday 8 January. Home to Chelmsford City - 2pm

Southend United Ladies beat Leigh ramblers (ladies) 1-0
with a deflected first half effort .In a rain/sleet affected game with a cold wind.
attendance 12 (3 away)
It was Georgia Wilson's shot that was deflected in for the goal after 8 minutes. We ended up with a count of 23 at the match although some did give up due to the poor weather conditions. The ladies are at home to Bowers & Pitsea reserves or FC Clacton in the quarter finals.
 
Following up on last weeks 4-2 win at home to Hutton women reserves in the league.
This afternoon the ladies got through to the semi finals of the Essex Womens Trophy beating Bowers & Pitsea reserves 4-2 on penalties, the match finishing in a 3-3 draw after extra time.
Scorers were Rex (10), Wilson (21) & Denton (42). H-T was 3-1.
Southend scored all four pens (no need for the last one), Wilson, Denton, Rex & Fragnito being successful.
The semi final is on Sunday 19 February at home to Tigers Ladies.
 
Another Sunday cup match and another win.
Essex County Womens League - League Cup 2nd Rd.
Leigh Ramblers 0 - 3 Southend United. att. 28 at Deanes School Sports Centre.
Blues scorers today: White (60), Rex (77), Lyus (90+3).
So through to the quarter finals of the league cup.

After last weeks Sunday off it was back to cup action at Garon Park 3G.
Essex Womens Trophy Semi Final. KO 14:30
Southend United 7 - 0 Tigers Ladies.
Woolaway 2 (17, 94), Denton 2 (23, 82), Burbridge (36), Wilson (pen 45+2, pen 65).
A slight higher than normal crowd of 65.

So through to the Final against Toby Ladies (3-1 winners today) on Sunday 26 March 2023 at Great Wakering Rovers. KO 14:30.

Next week it is cup action again as we take on Hutton reserves in the League Cup Quarter Final away from home. Having beaten them 4-1 a couple of weeks ago.

Weird how a couple of reserve sides are still in it at this stage when there first teams are still in it, can they get drawn against each other ? Maybe the standard of ladies football in the area isn’t as good as other counties, I know hashtag first team are rather good, think they are top of the league they’re in.
