ALEX Woodyard earned praise from manager Paul Sturrock after the young midfielder was restored to the starting line-up for Saturday's 2-2 draw with Brentford.

Well thats excellent management .

Gives Alex a pat on the back and at the same time a little nod to say Come on son , put in a bit more in training day in day out + you will play more often.

That probably counts for one or two other players in our squad aswell( Eastwood , Martin , Straker i would imagine )

I love all the banter + differing opinions on here each day , but isnt it wonderful that at the end of the day we can trust that Sturrock is doing a top notch job + we are a club in very good hands ( on the pitch anyway )

Sounds to me like he's saying "I don't really rate him, but we were short of bodies and I had to choose between him and Sammy the Shrimp for the last midfield spot"
