Echo News Southend United midfielders heading out on loan

Excellent news , so pleased to see so many of our youngsters out on loan and getting major experience in Mens football. It should be great for them and us. Been wanting this to happen for years and pressing for it,

Its not that we didnt do it, but had periods where only the odd youngster went out, Then Gradually its been improving as our Academy developed and I cant remember when we last had 7 , i think , out on loan but maybe that also relates to the ramifications of being in the National league and the freedom of no transfer windows ?

Brilliant !!

Lewis Gard has played 5 league games in 3 years. He has had a terrible time with injuries. Going out on loan under Tilly's care sounds like a good first gentle step to getting his career back on track. Thinking he is ready for our struggling first team sounds to me like the thinking of, what's the phrase I'm looking for, oh yes, the thinking of a clueless idiot.

I couldn't find his own thread. But wouldn't it be nice if Freddy Eastwood Jr ended went to Swifts and played under Tilly too. Assuming he isn't with another club already?

Open your eyes Phil…..you need creativity like Gard in your midfield so you can assist the numerous strikers that you are collecting !
