Southend United most obscure XI

Don Cowan - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Cowan

Irish winger Phil Brown signed on a 1 month contract. I watched him play on a tuesday night league cup game against Yeovil town, which funnily enough, featured other obscure players Craig Reid and Julian Bennett.

Not sure he ever played for us again did Don. Which was not a surprise cause his first touch was atrocious. Only thing I remember from him was him repeatedly losing the ball.

Ian Cowan and Kevin Fallon , the only not up to standard signings by Arthur Rowley

Saw this on another club’s forum and thought it might be interesting. An XI made up of the most obscure players to have signed for us. Must be loads we completely forgot ever even signed.

Early shout for goalkeeper... Clark Masters. With us a year and a half and then left after making zero competitive appearances.
Brian Ronson-a good keeper-not many chances was no2 to Harry Threadgold

Working your way through the names on your spreadsheets then Naps
