Recent(ish) signing Charlie Mulgrew is a big fan of tropical fish, which made me wonder what pets our current players have. We all know Freddy had some horses to pull his caravan, goalkeeping legend Paul Sansome had a hamster called Hammy but what of our current crop?

I know of the following:

Flahavan - a dachshund
Francis - no pet
Barrett - a cat(s)
Peter Clarke - poodle
Bailey - no pet
McCormack - ?
Gower - dog (possibly a greyhound - can anyone confirm or deny?)
Black - dog (type unknown, probably a mongrel)
Barnard - two cockatoos
Walker - no pet to my knowledge
Harrold - pekinese (its actually his girlfriend's dog, a price worth paying by all accounts)
MacDonald - cat called Ronnie
Revell - no pet, but sponsors a giraffe in Africa
Collis - two old English sheep dogs
Masters - an ostrich
Moussa - cat
Hunt - no pet
Scannell - tarantula
Liptak - no pet (or if he has, it will be in quarantine)
Lokando - rabbit called Flopsy
Ademeno - ?
Hooper - guinea pig and a rat

Grant - no pet
Robson-Kanu - awaiting confirmation that he looks after the school hamster as part of a roster

I know for a fact Charles Ademeno has an Irish Hunter (Horse) called Tony.

The club has an inhouse a pet gibbon called Franky that the staff take it in turns to care for.

Liptak been in the country more than 6 months...So although Tilson said he would need 6 months in the reserves, which apparently he needs more time, 6 months is enough time to allow any pet he does have out of quarantine (and probably to get a 1st team game before Liptak)

By trawling through old programmes (what pet use to be a favourite question in player profiles, alongside what is your favourite meal), by asking the players at training and stalking them.

McCormack - Pit Bull.
Barrett - Tortoise (think it's the bald head that does it)
Bailey-Orangutan (distinct resemblance)
Daryl- Dwarf pet of some variety
Foran-Snake (ask Gower) & also Adopted Gower's unwanted dog
Harrold-Donkey
Walker-Greyhound
Clarke-Rhino

& apparently a lot of Referees favour bats...
