Six games to go to save our season, the first of which is back at "Fortress Roots Hall" against a Crawley Town side whose current form looks as bad as ours was when we drew 1-1 back at their place last October.

The time for excuses is over, we need to put Crawley to the sword on Saturday - no ifs, not buts - the games are running out and we need to close the gap on Colchester and Barrow before we play them to give ourselves a fighting chance of avoiding the drop.

Despite the starting XI on Tuesday having no recognised strikers in it, the performance in the first half at least was battling and decent. One would hope that a similar performance at home against comfortably mid-table Crawley, rather than away at a Morecambe side who are fighting for automatic promotion, would yield the full three points at home for the first time since we beat Barrow 1-0 on 9th January.

The squad will be free of suspensions, but whether Hart deserves a recall or not is a tricky one as he was out of form before he got sent off. Clifford has however failed to deliver effectively in the last couple of games though so maybe Hart's enthusiasm and fresher legs make him worth a recall.

As far as injuries are concerned, it's too early to know if White's dodgy arm, Macca's dodgy calf, or the tender groins of Olayinka and Akinola will allow them to play a role on Saturday or not. Jacob Mellis was missing with an unspecified injury on Tuesday too, but his involvement so far as been so peripheral that this was inconsequential.

We need a win and so need to score some goals. What team would you pick if you were in MM's the Orange Messiah's shoes?

It seems like every game at the moment is a “must win” but with games quickly running out, this really does fall in to that category. With Colchester playing the night before, we could have the chance to cut the gap should their result go our way and if that does happen, we simply have to make it count. To often we’ve failed to capitalise on those around us dropping points.

My team would be this.. (taking in to account the current injuries etc)

Oxley
Elvis - Hobson - Cordner - Clifford
Ferguson - Dieng
ANG - K.Taylor - RHF
Acquah

I’m certainly hoping for a performance that resembles the one we got on Tuesday night rather than the one we got last weekend.

Need to go for it on this one. Presume. Olay, Macca and White are unfit

Oxley
Elvis. Cordner. Hobson. Clifford.
Dieng
Demi. Ferguson. RH.F.
Acquah. Akinola.

Subs. Seadon. Hart. K.Taylor. Rush. Halford. Egbri. Holmes.

Cordner limped through the last 20 minutes of Tuesday with a sore groin. Not 100% sure if he is available?

433 and chuck the kitchen sink at em !!!

Attack ! Attack !!

Oxley
Demi Cordner Hobson Clifford
Ferguson Dieng Taylor
Holmes Acquah Akinola

I think the colchester result on Friday will probably have impact on how sufc perform in this fixture. If colchester get that win, then it will have impact on the players mindset, so probably go into this game with defeatist attitude.

How many games have we all been saying its must win! And we have not got those wins, which has left us in a dire position.

Colchester game on Friday is just important as this 1.

They will know all about ANG and Ferguson’s strengths and weaknesses.

Then there are the returning Glen Morris and Josh Wright.

I would love to see us win but fear that they will have enough defensively to keep us out, Josh Wright would no doubt love to score against us and Tom Nichols is a clever little forward.

Ox
Demi, Dieng, Hobson, Clifford
Elvis, Ferguson, Taylor, Hart
......Holmes
Akinola

Energy, closing down.
