Interesting that only 1 person so far has suggested a starting XI for this game but that might be because predicting what team Brown has in mind (and the formation) is like trying to plaster with semolina - rather tricky.

I do remember at this time last season being excited about seeing the team for our first game of the season .... and it was very different to the predictions on here. Not only that but Wordsworth didn't deliver on expectations.

Surely it can't be the same again this season can it? I still have bad memories of the opening game against Orient a few seasons ago when McCormack threw it all away in his battle against Thornton. :'(
 
Should be a good crowd as gillingham have posted that they have nearly sold there ticket allocation for Saturday, anyone know how many they were given ?

They were given about 2,000 tickets. I see we have sold about 5,100 but that won't include corporate etc so you can add on another 200 or so.
 
Would think Brown will go with the team that started against Colchester except Oxley in for Smith.Mooney and Cox look a threat so will go with a Blues win.But we must keep an hold on Bradley Dack to acheive the victory
 
How quickly things change in football, we last played Gillingham in March this year:

  • it is likely that only 3 players who started that game for us will start on Saturday (Thompson, Barrett and Coker)
  • only 2 more of the March starting XI are still at the club (White and Wordsorth)
