Official Match Thread Southend United v Salford City

Not now

Forest Green Rovers 2 Col Ewe 0 (Latest Score)
Now losing 3-0 to the 10 men of FGR.
Great that Harry Seadon performed so well—he’s an excellent prospect but everyone should pray that Bass is fit for Tuesday or another loanee can come in.

I can seriously see Col U getting relegated. Watched today and I honestly don’t know where their next win is coming from. FG weren’t any better today than wednesday ability wise, just showed a little more urgency and a whole lot less complacency after being seriously bitten in the arse...and Col U were simply terrible....really terrible. I go as far to say worse than Southend at their worst as they didn’t even display any fight or determination

Southend will finish above them for sure. For them it’s just a case of whether Grimsby and Barrow catch them.

There was the slightest of touches for the foul- doesn’t fill you with confidence when he drops the ball as a result- in a division that frequently borrows referees from the local rec you can’t rely on getting the decisions
Personally I thought the first one he was smashed into around his waist. Clear foul and most refs would give it.

Second one he was proper clattered into and he held on to it.

Not sure most keepers we have had over the years would have caught both, but I would think most refs we have had would give fouls for both.

Yes after years of moaning about Ox not 'commanding' his area or should have held that etc. A young loanee makes a couple of faultless takes and then gets slagged for being fouled.....One of which he was well off his line in the red zone for Oxley.
