16 minutes in and we are 2-0 up. Hopefully we won't get over confident.

BBC says Sturrock got the assist for the first goal, but doesn't say who got the assist for Hall's goal.

Paul Sturrock is a ****ing legend, I don't care what anyone says! Get in there - even the auto spots are not far away (unbelievably!) :stunned:

Quality stuff. I hate to have a little bit of negativity, but I really hope we can get Hall and Ferdinand on extended deals, would be gutted if we lost either of them.

If Paul Sturrock (whisper it quietly) were to lead Southend to promotion this season, given the tiny amount of players at the club just a couple of weeks before the season when he arrived, and given the tiny budget and repeated winding up orders, would it be the greatest achievement in a single season by any Southend manager ever? Discuss. :Naps:

Hmmm would be interesting to see the budget that Tilson had during his first three years compared to what Sturrock is working with. Can't take for granted just how well Tilson did to get that team together and lead them to two promotions.

Hmmm doubt it after Tilly took us to the first ever league cup final and promotion in the same season but good try

If Paul Sturrock does get us promoted i think it may be up there with Tilson's Achievement's just by the fact he isnt expected to take us up with a group of players pulled together 2 weeks before the season!

HT 2-0 up, another one and we could see one of the youths come on for the final few minutes.
