I have been to Wigan, with a Wigan fan for a home game, as I remember against Leeds, 2005?, and it was an ok atmosphere with strong away support and very nice, family style home persons; I won't knock them. They are what they are; and they are genuinely, on the whole, good folk who don't want to follow Manure or Mansissy. Respect please!

The stats don't look good on paper, That being said, they have beaten us at Roots Hall in nearly 27 years.

I'm hoping for a 1-1 draw.

I really would not play Fortune, for all his good ball skills and effort, offers very little in terms of direct attacking threat, never shoots and doesn't get himself in goal scoring positions, a one touch too many footballer for me.

Would like to see Ladapo get a full run out alongside Cox, looked very raw on Saturday but difficult to judge on 20 minutes....

Centre back pairing is an interesting one. Personally think Ferdy has one final chance before he is sent out to pasture...but really worry about our old centre back pairing against this Wigan side

I can see Wigan scoring several goals against our defence lacking JW. So we've got to score more......

(That should ensure a 0-0 draw)

A game im sure SCP and the players are looking forward too now,I hink SCP will learn more about his players from this game than from the past two.CB pairing will be off importance and im positive SCP and his staff will have concentrated in training on this . IM sticking my neck out here and going for a 2-1 win.be mighty happy if its a draw also .

Just been outside to the car, it's like the ice age !

I wonder how our pitch is doing? Should we expect a postponement, and will it help us this time? (Fit players coming back, Wigan fixture pile up...)

Looks like it will be around 7c on Saturday and nowhere near a freeze.

Should be a decent home support of 7500 odd in and whatever Wigan bring.

Wigan are one of those clubs that sell a huge amount of tickets to away fans. I'm sure that when man Utd Liverpool etc cone to town there are 6k+ away fans in the ground.

Mk mongs do the same. They literally have given 10k to away sides and would offer more if teams could sell it.

It makes sense from a financial point of view but I would never want to be outnumbered at home.

Does go to show that moving from rubbish attendances in a new ground with Championship and Premiership football can bring sustained crowds into a club.

I am sure in a new ground in the championship we could be averaging around 15,000

Hope not....Stockport Shrimpers are flying down for this one! £59 return from Manchester!!!

No worries it's dry down here now with a temperature of 2 degrees. Forecast for Saturday around kick-off is cloudy and 7/8 degrees. Enjoy the trip.

With Wigan playing Man City in the FA Cup the following weekend they will have scouts at Roots Hall and I fear we will lose half our team, as a result, over the summer as Pep Guardiola fills his boots on our talent

That is the risk we run ....

Yeah I'm convinced that we could grown our fanbase at a cracking new ground.

6680 home sales now, plus 4-500 Wigan and any remaining sales today, tomorrow and Saturday should see us 7500+, which isn’t bad.

Wigan certainly have an impressive away record P13 W10 D2 L1 F32 A9...better than even Man City on goal difference.

BUT

Wigan have not won a single game all season on a ploughed cow field

Their pampered former £6 mio players wont fancy turning their precious ankles in the divots & pot holes and miss the Man City match next week

They havent got Michael Timlin who knocks brick walls down with his tackles and will love the fact Wigan wont fancy those 50/50s

The Chris Powell effect is gathering momentum and Southend Utd 's 100% win record under him

The Roots Hall roar will be amazing and there's nothing better than beating the league leaders

We should all recognise Wigan's keeper and I wonder if they will let Noel Hunt have a little cameo role on the bench...

I'm looking forward to the game having listened to the last two poolside in Agadir. Lets go for it !!
