Lose 3-4 on penalties:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(........:winking:...... honestly not too fussed, I'll be a hell of a lot more disappointed if we drop points on Saturday:smile:...........but Ron won't be happy.

Sounds like we will have to be a lot better than tonight to get 3 points on Saturday.

By the way, never follow a penalty shoot-out on our Twitter Account!

A really odd game. Oxford made 5 changes to their 11 that couldnt best Macclesfield, we started with our strongest 11, but played like a team that hadnt played for ten days. Lacked spark, passing was awful and plenty of aimless long balls. Oxley was mom with a string of fine saves, not sure whether he was at fault for the goal or not. Fortune did well to set up the equaliser. But in truth the better side went through. The one bonus is that the team has 90 mins under their belt so should be better prepared for Saturday. Strangely not too bothered we are out, the whole competition has been strange really.

Fair summary, not a bad game to watch and in snippets very enjoyable.
The move and cross and header by Cox for the disallowed goal was excellent and the decision looked marginal.
We looked rusty and some players took a while to get going for sure, a useful run out ahead of Saturday.

So many fans did not want to turn up for the Chuckaway Trophy and it seems a lot of the players didn't either.
