Gilbert, Baldwin and Morris are most at fault for all the goals IMO.

Goal 1: Morris should not be beaten at his near post, from that range. Gilbert also gets his positioning wrong.

Goal 2: Baldwin and Timlin get caught under the ball to the back stick. Nobody tracks the runner who sticks the ball in, from the header across goal.

Goal 3: Morris completely misjudges the flight and Baldwin fails to track his man adequately.

Goal 4: Gilbert not tight enough to his man. Morris fails to hold the cross and nobody picking up the man who is all alone, ready to bury the rebound.

In summary a complete and utter defensive shambles of epic proportions.

Argh, just defensive errors all over the place.

Great strike by Kalalalalalalala

Well summised Smiffy, would also add that for the first goal that Baldwin was easily beaten by Benson for the original flick on, in fact he hardly jumped. Phillips cant come back quick enough.

in fairness to the defence, it was a shambles all over the pitch for much of the game

Gilbert let Ritchie turn him inside out(outside the box and then inside)for the first goal. That began the rout.
Loved JP's strike.

The "near post" criticisms are a bit harsh as well. Keepers are not meant to get beaten at the near post when the shot is from an angle, the angle wasnt that acute and as Gilbert had near enough run away Ritiche had plenty of goal to aim at.

Goal number 1: Ferdinand was the covering player behind Gilbert but seemed to show no real urgency to get in a position to help him.
Goal number 2: It looked like Sampson got wrong side of his marker, which I suppose could be forgiven as his a striker.
Goal number 3: Moris completely failed to judge the flight of the ball and ended up jumping at thin air, and took himslf out of the game.

Disappointing that Mohsni's effort wasn't there.
Yes, very cheeky trying to lob the keeper as he did. Painful though they may be, they show again that Dicko is not deserving of the criticism some seem too quick to dish out. That was a very decent free kick effort from him.

Agree, he works his socks off week in week out yet when he gets subbed people start cheering. So frustrating!
