Must be tough for Tilly today as a rookie manager having to call people in with families and mortgages etc to tell them they are out of a job.

I remember reading Gary Nelsons 2 books (excellent BTW) that he said that it was horrible being released by Alan Curbishley at Charlton, then a year later having to release players at Torquay.

Not an easy job and most manager say this is the worst bit... spare a thought for Tilly today eh!?

So shouldn't we also spare a thought for the players who are out of contract and get told that they are out of a job, who do have mortgages and families.

Correct, and then also understand why sometimes they leave for more money. Maybe then we can stop calling them greedy and realise they are no different from the rest of us.
