Split train fares

Evening. Me and a mate are planning our journey from London to Dover for Saturday. Train tickets are much cheaper if split, anyone know if any sites are better or worse than any others? https://www.splitmyfare.co.uk/ is a lot cheaper, anyone know if it's legit or there are any better sites?
Thanks.

Trainline will show you the best split ticket route. They charge a small amount of commission if you use them though, I'm usually too lazy to do it but if you want to avoid that there's nothing stopping you from just taking the route they suggest and buying it straight from the train companies' websites.

Why don't the rail companies just sell rail tickets for the cheapest price, they do not make it easy for their potential customers.

You should not have to troll through loads of websites to find the cheapest tickets.

No wonder people are put off travelling by rail.
