Spoof news site 'becomes official' after Facebook and Twitter success

Good for them, some of their stories have genuinely made me chuckle, not least because of the reactionary comments arising in some cases!!!

From what I have heard , the council have added it to the database so that they know what people are going on about when they phone the council to complain.
Apparently around haloween the council had loads of complaints about the Trick or treat licences , and that started them checking SNN.

I liked the story on Leigh knife crime after someone bought a 300 quid kitchen knife on the Broadway that turned out to be a fake.

Today's story is about a non existent Rochford nursery banning the book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" because of rising obesity levels, lol. People are still being all outraged! :hilarious:

There was one on there the other day about a kids 7th birthday party and the mum sending out an invite stating that the minimum gift price was £50

One of Southend News Network's stories (about a mum setting a minimum present spend of £50 for her kid's party) has been tricking people, so the Daily Mail has written an article explaining it's satire. Unfortunately many people in the comment section didn't bother reading the article and are now ranting about how much they hate the mum.
