Tuesday morning at about 6am, in the departures lounge. The one and only Rob Newman. I saw him, he saw me. He wanted to be recognised, as no-one else recognised him. I think he wanted me to say hello, he kept giving me glances as if to say, yes, it's me.

But I couldn't think of an opening gambit beyond - I was there when you scored at Dagenham and Redbridge in the ESC, so my moment was lost. Still, he looks in fine fettle.

Or do you say "Do you know any other teams where in a season the top goal scorer is a defender aka Rob Newman!"

Or you could have said "Did you ever consider getting the ball down and passing it along the floor?"

Or hows Woody and Little Bo peep getting on Buzz, and give Mr Potatoe head my best regards.
Then jump off the coffe table shouting "To enfinity and beyond" whilst whistling "Your've got a friend "

Maybe ask him how the careers of Brett Darby and Dan Marney panned out?

Ask him if he now realises that Harchester United are not actually a real football club and maybe signing someone from a TV show was infact a mistake?

Except that Dave Webb signed him. Bet you feel a bit stupid now.

Was he eating Cow Pie by chance?

It happened to Forest one season when Stuart Pearce got 12 or 13 in a season.

Last time I saw Rob Newman away from a football ground, it was 9.45am and he was standing outside Bar Vic waiting for it to open.
