stolen champions medal

[sussex by the sea]

Apologies if this has been posted/reported elsewhere but today's Brighton Argus had the following news item:

"Two professional football medals have been stolen by burglars.

The gold medals, thought to belong to a player from Southend FC, who won last years Coca League 1, were taken from a house in Preston Park, Brighton.

The medals were taken between 11.15 and 7pm on May 29.

One is inscribed with the words Football League Champions, League 1 on the front and season 2005-2006 on the reverse side.

It also has the numbers 107 below the clasp at the top.

The other medal is inscribed with the words Coca Coca League 1 and around the outside Coca Cola Football League Champions 2005-2006. It has a red ribbon with the Coca Cola logo"

No idea which player this relates to, but thought I should post the article.
