All the Beach Huts along Chalkwell beach (at the bottom of Chalkwell Avenue) have been washed away. I run along there and I'm sure there was about 10 down there...all gone.
No didn't get a photo. I think there's one on the Your Southend Facebook page.
I think the ones in Thorpe Bay are the more expensive ones, but those Chalkwell ones were still probably not cheap.

Looking at this short video, if you pause 35 seconds in, I think they're changing cabins.

Yeah to be fair they might have been changing cabins rather than Beach Huts. I was looking slightly further towards Southend though than this video. If you go all the way down Chalkwell Avenue and go slightly left from the seating area/toilet building there was a lot of debris there.

That is part of Germany isn't it, along with Les Froggies?
Seriously boring place Luxembourg for sure.

Wouldn't disagree but some high earners live there (including until recently the young son of my wife's cousin. He's now moved to London, where he specialises in IT security).Always remember when we popped in on the way back from a wedding in Sweden some years ago now.Our younger daughter, who's just started a new job in Paris was disappointed to learn that they don't speak a foreign (to her) language there.:Smile2:

EasyJet have just emailed and said my flight out of Southend to Geneva on Saturday may be cancelled and have offered me Friday or Monday instead.

Neither are particularly convenient...
