This is lifted from another site but an interesting topic to discuss.

I always thought my parents were quite strict, but I can't think of anything they actually banned me from doing, whereas a good friend was under no circumstances allowed to watch ITV because of the adverts.

This week's Time Out mentions some poor sod who was banned from sitting in the aisle seats at cinemas because, according to their mother, "drug dealers patrol the aisles, injecting people in the arm."

What were you banned from doing as a kid by loopy parents?

I can't think of anything I was banned from doing from about the age of 14/15.

I was never banned from anything, just received threats of a bamboo cane and a once even a hammer! lol

Parents were abit loopy, but arent all of them in their own way?!

My mum used to slice up mars bars and only let us have one piece at a time !

And I didn't own a pair of long trousers until i was 10 (mind you in the 60's that was not unusual)
