Compare Paterson's physical presence to that of Corr, Sturrock and even Crawford.
Never quite fancied going in for a 50/50, it was always half hearted and he never won anything against a big centre half.
Granted he scored two good goals against Bristol City and against Barnet who are one of the smallest sides I've ever seen.
Paul Sturrock said earlier in the season that he wanted strikers who can hold the ball up but Paterson isn't strong enough to do that. Then PS tried to bring in someone who could play off a targetman using a bit of pace. That wasn't Paterson's game either. He could be the right striker but he's been playing for the wrong manager.
Good luck to him.
