Paul Sturrock is a genius. He knows that the best day ever for southend supporters ( not including cup matches ) was the league play off final in Cardiff. He also knew how gutted we were to lose out to Swindon + not go to Wembley in the JPT. He realises that by finishing 4th we will have a 2 legged live on sky game against an average div 2 team that we can beat comfortably. Then he gets to lead us out at Wembley for the 1st time in the clubs history + the money generated by this awesome event will enable us to buy big for next season in Div 1 . He also gets the chance to bring on Blair Sturrock with minutes remaining to score + thus take him into legend status ( ala Duncan Jupp) & give us Shrimpers fans a wonderful Wembley memory forever.

...and THAT is the reason why we turned up at Aldershite + played like a pathetic bunch of big girls blouses without any desire , intelligence or passion to win the game.

So we dont need to worry , Luggy has it all figured out ... just be patient + make sure you keep 27th May free in your diary, we are going to WEMMMBERRRLLEEEEYYYYYY
