take risdale all day long, he might run up £5,000 a month bills for goldfish, but at least he is honest about it
whereas brady and martin try and ride out the storm from our placid supporters

And what do you suggest? Ron Martin turns up for work in an S reg Escort? Geez, give the man a break, can't anyone just go out and buy an £80,000 car and not get nagged about all the time?

Thought you might have cheered up a bit as Uncle Steve finally got a result last night.

If the rumours site is to be believed then Blair has told friends on social sites that his Dad is returning to Plymouth.

I hope not as Paul has done a fantastic job against the odds for us.

But if Plymouth offer him a job upstairs at Home Park it makes you wonder if he'll use the" it will ease my health" card.

Lol I don't believe a single thing on that site so highly unlikely. However I feel that we have the players to get out of this division and if Sturrock should depart then barring a very poor appointment I see no reason to change that opinion and that's all credit to Sturrock for putting together an excellent squad.

I agree with you . But the rumours site isn't always false. A guy on deadline day wrote that Timlin was coming back and he was right. and someone mentioned Sturrock was coming here on the site about a fortnight before he arrived and Tilly left.

Coughlan interest

According to today's Echo Plymouth have made tentative enquiries to lure Graham Coughlan as their new manager.

As I said previously the rumours site isn't always entirely false.

Nor is it ever entirely even close to being correct. The Coughlan rumour was expressed on here the other day so it's no doubt found it's way there from here. Wouldn't be the first time and will be just be another example of a rumour confirming and fuelling itself.

If that happens Sturrock will go as too as director of hoofball

...along with Blair so the Plymouth websites can bore themselves silly with their own nepotism versus holds the ball up well debate.

[Edit]Rumours site: Southend trio, Sturrock Snr, Coughlan and Sturrock Jnr to join Plymouth...

Peter Taylor is manager of Bahrain and loving it by all accounts.

Lovin' it! Lovin' it! Lovin' it!

One thing that's always puzzled me, apart from Niall Quinn how many ex pro's that are pretty wealthy have gone the route of taking over a club ?

I'm surprised that these multi millionaires who claim to have a passion and love for the game haven't stepped up to take on a small club. Just goes to show how the true passion has left the game, mercenaries as players and the same as managers, so as much as I despise RM I don't see the ex pro's contributing much in the way of finances, take, take take.

Ray Ranson was one, but they are certainly in a very small minority.

I would be surprised if any manager currently in a job, particularly in a relatively safe position as Sturrock is with us, would leave to go to Plymouth before they get their finances sorted out. As it stands they still don't know if a take-over is going to happen or not. Why go somewhere where you definitely won't get paid? At least with us there's a chance you will! I would think that would apply to Coughlan as well..
