SOUTHEND United manager Paul Sturrock was left suffering mixed emotions following his side’s hard fought 0-0 draw at Torquay United on Saturday.

I agree with him that we played well, especially second half, but we didn't look like a side who were "fighting" for a top three place.

If he had gone for two wıngers at home, and chased the game a bıt more a top three place mıght not have been lost.

How many teams play with two wingers? Tilly didn't in either promotion season.

I like Martin but Sturrock doesnt want to play two wingers and he picks Hall ahead of him, which I would too if it was a choice.

When we did play two wingers against Wimbledon Hall looked the better of the two and when Sturrock changed to 3 up front Martin gave way.

Id still like to see Martin and Hall together myself.
