Hi Guys,

I'm in my final year of my media studies for GCSE and i am looking to do a documentary on SUFC.

Just looking for some ideas of contents and the such, that you as SUFC would want to see in a documentary about you club.

Would very much appreciate it if you could just help me in the right direction.

My aim is to show that football isn't all about fights, larger and swearing. (not saying it's not :))

Do it on match day culture, you can spend a Saturday following me round!

i think it would be great to see something like a "typical" day for either a player or Tilly. maybe you could ask to film the lads doing a bit of training and get a couple of interviews... that way all you need to do is think up some good questions. perhaps your angle could be that they are in the end just ordinary blokes and ask them how they deal with pressure, the media, fame etc

Or even follow around Steve Parmenter, a day in the life of the Kit Man, obviously asking him testing questions to see how he's coping with following in de de der der Dave's footsteps!

How about a "What impact does a local team have on a town" type of documentary. Ask random members of the public in the high street questions about the Club, the Stadium plans etc , then speak to RM about plans for the stadium and how to increase public support and the clubs profile in the town etc

If I were you I would blow the mind of the your media studies teacher by doing a post-structuralist discourse analysis of the 'male gaze' as it features in Brian Wheeler's tannoy announcements.

Do what the BBC do and take a load of random SUFC vide clips but merge them in a random order.

This will show once and for all that things were not as well as they seemed behind the doors in our thirty one, twenty three victory over Leyleebricheldagbristranmouth Alexandra.
