SUFC U18s - 2018/19 CHAMPIONS

I can rmember a season or two ago many were siging the praises of one Emile Acquah,saying how big a unit he was and knows where the back of the net is etc etc etc ,now he is hardly ever spoken off ,what has happened to the lad .

The young U18s Shrimpers make it seven wins in a row in all competitions as Charlie Kelman scores a last-minute winner in back-to-back games.

Youth team hammer Orient 6-0 with 6 different goalscorers. Terrell Egbri, Charlie Kelman, Sam Knock, Matt Rush, Issa Mpenga and Freddy Eastwood contributed the goals. Mpenga scoring his first for the youths.

Freddy Eastwood Jr scores a hatrick to make it his 11th goal so far this season, a brace for Matt Rush, also Charlie Kelman scored to take him up to 14 goals this season.

Southend are the leading goal scorers in the league, so far scoring an impressive 59 goals.

The u18s are playing Cambridge in EFL Youth Alliance Cup Southern Semi-Final on Saturday.

Kick-off is 11am down at Boots and Laces. Entrance is free if anyone fancies it.
