Certainly worth watching if that is the case. Both Bobby Charlton and Nobby Stiles played in that game for PNE.

cannot get BT, in Germany.
Anyway of getting a dvd of the highlights?
Or our games from the 70s?

This was Preston North End's first ever visit to Roots Hall. I remember a few months earlier watching the first ever meeting between the two clubs, at Deepdale. A splendid match with a thumping Guthrie goal to round off a 4-1 away win. Remember being in a pub before the game by the market and the Lord Mayor's Show was live on a black and white TV (funny the things you remember!) - what followed was certainly not "after the Lord Mayor's Show".

........ and Charlton v Southend from 74/75 on BT Sport 2 on Saturday at 7.00 pm. The old Valley in all its glory.
SUEPA members Moody, Hadley, Silvester and Guthrie played in these two games, sent them all a quick note and I know Alan's set his player to recrd!

Yes - was at the home game v Preston - quite surreal standing on the south bank seeing Bobby Charlton taking a corner wearing PNE colours
