Summer Clearout

It's not all Nicolau's fault obviously (in fact he has given the team an added attacking dimension) but we have shipped a shed load of goals since he arrived in the team. We have definately got to work on that defence for next season. At the moment we have to score at least 2 per game in order to even get a draw. Also, it is time to get Warren back in the team instead of Stuart.

Without offering any opinion of Drewe, I think the reason we played such free-flowing football against Hull was because we DIDN'T have a target man on the pitch.

Would we have won? Who knows.

However we are going to draw or lose more than we win whilst we continue to concede 2 goals a game.

For the record, we have conceded 2 oor more goals as follows;

Under Wignall

Home 6 times Away 6 times

Under Tilly

Home 7 times Away 6 times

Including cup games... and we have conceded 2 in each of our last 4 matches.

Contrast this to the number of times we have scored more than 2 goals... never under Wignall and 10 times under Webb and Tilly, although Canvey, Luton, QPR and Colchester were all cup games so that's just 6 in the league.

Hmmm...
