They just dug up the war chest at Fossetts Farm, didn't you see?!

Of course they aren't as good as Brett Angel, they play for a club in the conference, Angel played for a club in the championship.
Yes he did ! but if you have a look at his very interesting playing career (Wikipedia helps)including converting from a defender to a striker you'll find that he joined blues in the old 3rd division from a 4th division side etc etc

Serious question is Ron playing silly bugger??? Stan said was all lined up and ready football department wise. I’d have expected at least one in the door if that’s the case.

I think the season not being finished just yet might hold things up. If our targets in the division below are in the play offs then could be a week or two til they're in the door

It's happening don't worry. Players and agents are more patient these days. They wait and see what club offers what. We will get turned down by a few. But hopefully a few will sign, and be quality signings..

Read on here that Kev is on holiday, so i would be surprised if we signed any new players untill he returns..

Don’t think we’re anywhere near close enough to be pushing the panic button. We’ve got enough very capable people in the football department.

It's 21st May, lots of players are still under contract (some haven't even finished their seasons yet).

Many players, agents and managers whose season has finished have gone away on holiday.

Chill!

Now that the season has ended there is a need for a realistic appraisal of what has gone before and a sensible expectation of what is to come. There is no magic formula for success, most of it is down to luck and the outcome of a few critical moments.
If Mansfield had sacked Clough when they were in the bottom three in October, they might not be in the play offs final now. Conversely, if we had kept faith with Brown, instead of Martin bowing to an orchestrated campaign organised by one of those now in charge, who knows if he might have turned things around.
What is fact is that of the current squad, Dalby, Cardwell and Husin have all had chances at this level and higher and have failed to take them up to now so expecting them to suddenly blossom and reach a new level of consistency are gambles, as are Powell and Kensdale. Arnold and Murphy have nothing to prove at this level and Demetriou is an established veteran but the rest of the squad is desperately thin and in no position to mount a realistic promotion challenge unless the squad is strengthened all round. There has been a lot of talk but talk is cheap unless backed up by action.

But we seem to have new signings already!

Huh? First I've heard of that. Brown got sacked because we were sinking like the Titanic. We were in 20th position in this League. We were getting beat easily. Then we lost 4-0 at home to Chesterfield, and Brown had to go. He also upset a few of the players allegedly, which he has form for. Why do you think every player asked has said the new team have made it a happy place since they've taken over. Players said they now look forward to training. They also mention the team spirit, which was missing.

Are you joking me? If Phil Brown stay, we probably preparing to play Chelmsford, Concord & Cheshunt FC next season!

LOL.

The chances of everyone being around right now to get a deal finalised and announced is minimal. It’s not just Ron or Kev or Tom or agents to agree terms it is also the physio/medical staff to do the medical, lawyers to finalise the contract, the NL to clear signings etc, the photographer and media manager to show them gurning holding a scarf.

It’s like buying a house. You can have your offer acceptance but it takes weeks to go from that to having the keys. Deals may already be agreed in principle but they were never going to be announced this week.

Action: like taking a team out of the relegation zone on goal difference by one goal to midtable. Revitalising the squad with shrewd signings who have already shown their worth; ridding deadwood.

Appreciate you might not know what’s been happening as you won’t have seen the games but the turnaround has been remarkable.

Not to sure how much we see of Ralph seems to be injury prone he will get many knock’s from some of those big lumpy national league defenders next season .
Nathan Ralph managed 31 games last season before he was side-lined with a quad injury (which he has now recovered from). There were several players that did not manage that total. One thing is for certain, the shoulder injury from the previous season did not keep him out of playing, and the more games a player manages the more resilience to injury he has. You only have to look at super Steve for a good example of that.
