Latest Rumours Summer Transfer Window Thread 2019

Would you opt for a replacement or move Bishop up to first choice ?

Move Bishop up would be the cheaper option IMO. Oxley does not do it for me, I always panic whenever there is a cross/corner coming in or he pars or tries to punch a save straight to one of the oppositions forwards. What happened to actually catching the ball?

Maybe he needs to watch a few old Gordon Banks videos.

Never ever had faith in Oxley at all.Mr stick to the line., crap at corners. Never helps the defence out.chucks balls to incoming forwards and is an overrated keeper.

He can go to.
First paragraph here is patent nonsense
Second paragraph needs completing— ....go to a Championship team if we were foolish enough to release him.

Horses for courses and opinions, that makes the Zone.

the strange this is that Oxley was our player of the season last year and highly regarded by most on here and in football in general.

This season people want to offload him to whoever we can to save some wages.

I would have thought that Kev B has a list of players he wants to keep or sign and he’s had that chat with RM already.

Indeed, that would surely be part of his probation with Ron.

I guess the problem would be if Ron takes that advise, then appoints a different man. Who then says I would have kept X but released Y.

Rons debating whether to take up the management role himself so I've heard.

Lets hope the zone can improve on last summer. Out of about 200 suggestions none of them signed.
No need for clear outs, that never ends well. Bond is in the best position to know who should go and who has to go for budget reasons. Who ever is manger won't have any more money for so called 'upgrades'. In fact he may well get less.
Something people should remember when suggesting the likes of JW should go. As we found out to our pain this season you have to use your whole squad at times and JW is very good value for money. Especially when compared to some others

Not very interested in anyone on the released list so far, some of the Sheff U transfer listed players are good but they would cost money we don't have. Dan Barlaser, a returning loanee, scored against us, he looked decent.

Leon Clarke... lets go for another ex plyer that didnt do too much here

Didn’t do too much? Are you thinking of someone else? He had an excellent scoring record as he has wherever he has gone. Just has a poor attitude from what I’ve heard.
