Latest Rumours Summer Transfer Window Thread 2020

There will be loads of players out there who will be happy to take a big cut on their last contracted wage just to get a club. Two of the 4 1st team players we released have quickly got sorted out, Brandon Comley has gone to Bolton and Ryan Jackson to Gillingham.

And Oldham who only announced Harry Kewell as their new manager yesterday have signed three players today!!!

Looking at the players at the Club, I don't think things are as bleak as they appear. The youngsters who played with so much passion and style in L1 are now a year older, with first team experience. Hopefully Ron has the cash to bring in a small number of experienced players to back them up, but not veterans on the way down please!

24 signed up so far, 4 teams brought in 3. No worries though as we are used to embargoes and at the end of it there is always an exciting signing waiting to impress the eager and easily impressed Ron like Hyam or Ridgewell, following extreme due diligence techniques

Don't blame Ron, blame the under-fire Sports Science Department (currently the subject of a detailed enquiry led by Ron the last we heard)

Dover Athletic look to be in trouble and have made all first team players available for free transfer.

Paul Rooney and Will de Havilland look like they could do us a job. They’d be free and probably cheap.

Really sad what is happening down in Dover. They appear to be in serious trouble.

I think a few clubs will go under not disappear but go back to the amateur staus as was when Borough combination was alive and well in Southend.

Borough Com is still going, though it has swallowed up what was left of the district.

Unfortunately local teams are being dragged into the ridiculous world of over paid footballers.....Instead of better facilities the money is wasted on players who should never get more than petrol money and often have no connection to the club/town they are playing for.

Hullbridge Sports have a wage budget of £60,000 this year......Like all clubs they have big plans including getting funded for a 4G pitch and floodlights.

Anything less than punching above your weight is now seen as misery and failure in football.......Then like us when you get a good Championship slapping, cry about it moan on the way down and demand to have a rematch.

Do Hullbridge have any plans to take any of our kids on loan again this year?
