Official Match Thread Sunderland v Southend United

SOUTHEND United manager Sol Campbell has made three changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s clash at Sunderland.

You’re saying that Bishop was not at fault for any of the 7 goals and couldn’t have done anything to save them.

I'm saying with only 9 players on the pitch, Bishop was left woefully exposed. Not sure what blame you want to heap on Bishop

How about you re-read my original post and see where I’ve put blame on Bishop?

Other than his statue moment I thought Oxley didn’t do as bad as everyone made out against Ipswich.
Yes,he ,once again ,though well below his brilliant best, kept the score down.

He’s just the boo boys target at the moment. He isn’t on form but we do know there is a good goalkeeper in there which is why he won player of the season.

Oxley cost us last week with his inability to come off his line. I trust Campbell
Am I missing something? Oxley's failure to come off the line was the difference? I seem to remember it was 3-1 and six blue shirts surrounding the first Ipswich scorer: all doing jack!

I'm surprised that Campbell has gone for 3412 in both his games. seems a strange one, and bold for Sunderland away. now, let's smash these northern monkeys

And the shot parried straight to their striker for another goal. He actually made a good save after he had done the same thing in the first half. He has a habit of doing this.

Not even getting the option to load the radio player.

Maybe it's doing the fans a favor? :Whistling:
