With Colchester about to appoint a new manager (said to be Kevin Keen) I thought it might be nice to share some comraderie with our Northern Essex neighbours and send some messages of support and/or suggestions for improvement.

Here's mine ..........

"Good luck Kevin .................... you are going to need it."

I am slightly concerned as they are appointing a new manager, means likely they will put in a good show for new boss!

They may try harder but the problems that have been clear in the first half of the season will not disappear overnight.

Overconfidence on this forum is not the same as complacency in the team.

PB and his crew should be experienced enough to keep the team focussed and they will want to give us bragging rights for 2016.

All in all, make the most of it we may be in different leagues next season:smile:

Merry Xmas All

send some messages of support or suggestions?.... Well let's start with... I hope that we win on Boxing Day and all that is Colchester crawls back under the stone with which it came from never to be seen above the Maldon league that it's truly deserves to be in.... How about that ?

Kevin Keen has some great contacts at West Ham, Liverpool and Reading....hopefully he doesn't get loads of decent loanees in before our visit.

Colchester seem to avoid relegation with a late surge each season, hopefully Mr Keen can finally send them down!!!

dont think the loan window will be open before then so won't be possible. They've been terrible lately, can't see that changing just because a new manager has come in

I don't think too many of our team care about a local derby, 75% of them are Irish, just need a professional performance, another 3 points and we are well in the mix for a promotion push.

Open message to the Southend manager, team, media team and backroom staff.

We would very, very, very much like to beat Colchester United on Boxing Day at the Airfix stadium. Winning would make us very happy indeed, almost as much as Wembley last May. Preferably we would like a first rate performance but will settle for a bragging rights win.

Thank you
