20. First Aid Kit - Drunken Trees

Rammstein - Liebe ist fur alle da.

It's far from their best effort - but it's Rammstein and therefore better than any poxy electronica.

You can see reviews of every record I've bought this year here:
http://drownedinsound.com/releases/charts/18

Or in easily digestible Shrimperzone form:

1. Future of the left - Travels with myself and another
2. Phantom Band - Checkmate Savage
3. Micachu - Jewelery

All the best by some distance. And then:

4. Kong - Snake magnet
5. ****ed Jeans - King of Jeans
6. **** Buttons - Tarot Sport
7. Vitalic - Flashmob
8. Moderat - Moderat
9. Annie - Don't stop
10. Juan Maclean - The future will come

I also really liked: Part Chimp, Phoenix, worriedaboutsatan, Mos Def, Fever Ray, Rihanna, Lord Cut-Glass and SFA.

But just not quite as much.

Haven't really bothered with singles, but I liked The Chap's 'Well done you' a lot, that weird dubstep tune Karl Hyde did, the lead Horrors single, Lily Allen's 'The Fear' and YYY's 'Zero'. Alongside some stuff like HEALTH's 'Die slow', Jay-Z's one about Nu Yoik and many others.

1. Great Escape - The Rifles
2. To Lose My Life - White Lies
3. Klang - The Rakes
4. It's Blitz - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
5. Union - Boxer Rebellion
6. Lungs - Florence
7. Ignore the Ignorant - The Cribs
8. Mind Chaos - Hockey
9. Fruit - The Asteroids Galaxy Tour
10. Understanding Electricity - Official Secrets Act
11. West Ryder - Kasabian
12. Kingdom of Rust - Doves
13. Tonight - Franz Ferdinand
14. The Airing of Grievances - Titus Andronicus
15. Dark Days/Light Years - Super Furry Animals
16. Quicken the Heart - Maximo Park
17. A Balloon Called Moaning - Joy Formidable
18. I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose - Bombay Bicycle Club
19. Telekenisis! - Telekenisis!
20. A French Kiss in the Chaos - Reverand and the Makers

Biffy Clyro - Only Revolutions

Pretty poor year for new music I thought. Resorted to buying old albums I should have brought years ago.

Great Escape - The Rifles, Ignore the Ignorant - The Cribs, Kasabian's new one. Agree with the above poster, not a great year for new albums, although I haven't heard many. I'm not really into this new electro/dance/prog rock indie stuff, if that's how you describe it.

White Lies - To Lose My Life
F*ck Buttons - Tarot Sport
Russian Circles - Geneva
Dan Deacon - Bromst
The Very Best - Warm Heart of Africa
Part Chimp - Thriller

The new Kasabian album was Ok... As has been said, It's been a pretty poor year for music.

Kano's new album had a track dedicated to the greatness of The Wire, so forces itself onto the list, and Jay Z's new album was pretty good as well. Massively disappointed by Everything is Borrowed by The Streets, as I was with the Arctic Monkey's new album.

If it counts, I've been given an advance copy of Hot Chip's new album which technically isn't released till next year, but it is pretty damn good.

Even though I've had the Kasabian album ages I just listened to it last night and it's damn tooting :)
