Is Ron Pountney one of the greatest 12 figures in SUFC history?

I thought he was in, didn't remember having got Paul Clark in at the 2nd attempt - again thought there weren't enough votes....or am I reading that wrong?

Good to read confirmation that Ronnie is in the Hall of Fame. There's no doubt he deserves to be there. Actually right this minute he's in my hall, decorating. He works as hard and as well as he did on the pitch. Great bloke.
PS Perhaps I should add that I've now moved to Eastwood in case anyone worries he has to travel to Kent to find work. He doesn't!

Ron was an ever present in the era I went religiously home and away.

Whether it be a noisy RH on a Friday night or a desolate trip to Chester in December, Ron gave 100% from first to last.

Fantastic professional and no mean player, too.

Think Will Atkinson, but with a few more strings to his bow and you have Ron.

The only player to have his name painted on the side of the old washing machine shop wall in Victoria Ave....a legend who fully deserved that accolade
