Tableau and Tableau Prep

Anyone on here use these reporting tools ?

Some busybody on our board has decided that MS Access isn't suitable anymore so we are getting this in.

Looks swish enough for graphical dashboards and the like, but I am not sure my requirements will be met (despite assurances all along the the line that it will do it)

After a week of trying to install it , I finally have it on a desk top machine , not mine , mind you, it wouldn't install on that ! so I am about to roll my sleeves up and dive in.

Any pitfalls or things to look out for.

I've not used Tableau, but as I understand it, it's very expensive. I use Power BI and it's very easy to use and cheap (in fact the desktop version is free if you don't want to share outside of Powerpoint or PDF).
