Echo News Terrell Egbri keen to make it big with Southend United

To be fair. I was expecting more from him in terms of pace and trickery.

Didn't see much to suggest he is ready for the first team just yet

Being a short-a**e myself i feel the lads pain, but it’s true to say in modern football if you’re under 5ft 8” you’ve got to bring something special to the table to get a look in. You’re winning nothing in the air so you’ve got to be special on the deck. The club must see something in him or he wouldn’t be here.

In fairness it’s difficult to judge him solely on that game because our tactics were defensive and he spent most of the game in our half.

If I remember rightly he put in one very decent cross during the 2nd half on a rare occurrence where had some space.

He reminds me a bit of Jamal Campbell-Ryce, low centre of gravity, fast running down the wings, good ball skills, and can cross a decent ball.

I think he will develop into a very good player for us.
