In the wake of the tube strike, i am looking at using the Thames Clipper tomorrow from Tower Pier to Embankment Pier.... where is Tower Pier though?

If you head down to the main entrance at the Tower of London and just go past it heading down to the river - it's straight in front of you.

yep you basically go around the side of the Tower past the Memorial, there are signs from Tower Hill I'm sure.

excellent.. thanks for the help, looks like life on the ocean waves for me tomorrow!

Existing services will be boosted from a capacity of 1,500 to 8,000 an hour and will include an additional free shuttle service from London Bridge to Tower Bridge:

Greenwich - Canary Wharf - Central London: normal Clippers service with enhancements
Putney - central London: normal Thames Executive Charter (TEC) service with four boats instead of two
London Eye - Westminster - Tower Bridge - free peak shuttle every 10 minutes between 07:00-10:00 and 15:00-20:00 on both main strike days

Nice of them to have a tube strike the day of an England game at Wembley. Should be interesting seeing 70,000 people trying to get on a bus.
