In the small print you only win it if more than 150,000 tickets are sold. Otherwise (as per clause 26 of "the rules") it's a percentage of tickets sold minus "administration costs" which could be his time and trouble and that of his solicitor.

A money making scam, not an altruistic gesture from a banker looking to spread little love as he seems to want to make out.
 
I would think more than 150,000 tickets will be sold!!

In which case he makes approaching £3,000,000 for stuff worth less than half that. Nice work.
