One game I had forgotten about, but remember now, is the 4-2 away win at Reading.

We were unstoppable that day. No exaggeration, it could have been 6 or 7.

This season was slap bang in the middle of a seven year spell where I didn't miss a game home or away.
Won tickets for 10-1 at a supporters night race night. Took Mum & Dad and she was bored. no hope !
 
Being sad, I have a spreadsheet of every game I've ever attended...... no really..

Anyhow, I only missed one game - Huddersfield at home, which we lost. I was working in Bournemouth at the time.

Goal of the season was John Cornwall's volley in the last minute v Preston in September. This was also the season where we started our run of missed penalties (seven, I think it was). Dave Martin missed in the last game v Tranmere, had to retake it and still missed it. Eric Nixon was the keeper. Cost us the league.

The Eric Nixon penalty was very amusing, though not at the time.

The North Bank had been giving him a ton of stick, all night, so when he saved the first penalty, he turned around and gave it large, but got it back straight away, when the referee said it needed to be re-taken.

Of course, he had the last laugh!
