Great idea, are flags allowed in the South Upper though? Can't remember the last time I saw one. The classic Barret pose would be his double fist pump, a la his Wembley penalty celebration. I'm happy to chuck a quid or two towards this.

Think the banner looks great personally, would love to see that at Roots Hall!

Always thought it would be a nice idea to get something like a shirt-shaped passover flag made up for his last game before he retires, and reveal it as he does his final lap of honour. You could even give fans the opportunity to have a message printed onto the back for Barrett, and arrange for the flag to then be passed on/presented to him after his last game, as a memory of his playing career at Southend.

a good idea... about 8 years ago. wont he be retiring in a year or so anyway.

the ovation he got as a sub in his first game back last season has me in goose bumps just typing abut it #icon
