And once again just like last year you wait ages in the vain hope Southend United will get some kind of decent coverage and what do we get......25 bloody seconds of highlights and the (post match) commentator stating the blindingly obvious

You would think though being champions of league 1 they would at least give us a couple minutes worth, well i shall now wait in vain for the football league review!

They probably would have shown a bit more if there was more than a penalty in it. Probably have to wait till we get a big team to get on there.

The programme was good however for highlighting the fact that we may all have overestimated the 'quality' in the Championship. Although Birmingham were the better side there was not a chasm between the two teams in terms of ability. I liked the look of the match winner, on loan from Arsenal, but the likes of Danns and Campbell et al, are the calibre we have mixed it with and beaten in our last couple of seasons. Survival for us this season is a given. How high we finish will be interesting to see.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, the main games on the Football League Review will be the three games Sky have shown live this weekend.

There was only one TV camera at the Hall covering the game yesterday, therefore we will only get brief goal highlights. At least on The Championship they did show a couple of other chances as well as the solitary goal in yesterday's game.

Birmingham v Col U is far more newsworthy as it's a team relegated from the Premiership against a team playing their first ever game at this level. Us playing Stoke is not so interesting from a media point of view because Stoke aren't a big draw. But don't worry, we will get coverage this season, particularly against the big guns and particularly if we are doing well.....

As little coverage as possible this season so we sneak in there and go up again, with all the media babbling on about the "BIG" teams!
